Overview

WiFi Share ("the App") is a free utility app that generates and scans QR codes for WiFi networks. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

Data We Collect

The App itself does not collect or transmit your personal data. However, the App uses Google AdMob to display ads, which may collect certain data as described below.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us:

• Saved WiFi networks - Network names (SSIDs) and passwords you choose to save are stored in encrypted device storage (Android Keystore).
• App preferences - Your settings (theme, QR style preferences) are stored locally.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

This App uses Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial ads. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized ads, including:

• Advertising ID - A resettable device identifier used for ad targeting.
• Usage data - Information about how you interact with ads.
• Approximate location - Used for regional ad targeting.

Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

• Camera - Used only to scan QR codes. Camera data is processed on-device and never recorded or transmitted.
• Location (Android) - Required by Android to read the current WiFi network name. Location data is never stored or transmitted by the App.
• Internet - Required to load ads via Google AdMob.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party service:

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Deletion

All App data (saved networks, preferences) is stored locally on your device. To delete it:

• Use the "Clear All Data" option in the App's Settings screen, or
• Uninstall the App from your device.

For data collected by AdMob, refer to Google's data deletion options at myaccount.google.com.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
