Overview

SiteSnap ("the App") is a construction site photo documentation tool that captures GPS-tagged photos, organizes them into projects, and generates professional PDF reports. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.

Data Collection

SiteSnap does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party.

• No analytics - We do not use any analytics or tracking services.
• No accounts - No sign-up or login is required.
• No cloud storage - All data stays on your device.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Photos - Images captured by the camera or imported from your gallery, stored in the app's private storage directory.
• Photo metadata - GPS coordinates, timestamps, company/venue names, addresses, and notes you attach to photos.
• Projects - Names and descriptions for organizing photos.
• App preferences - Theme, overlay settings, date/coordinate formats, image quality, and other display options.

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it (via PDF or photo sharing).

Permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

• Camera - Required to capture photos for site documentation. Photos are stored locally on your device.
• Location (GPS) - Used to tag photos with GPS coordinates for mapping and geolocation metadata. Location data is stored locally with each photo and is never transmitted to any server.
• Storage / Media Library - Used to import photos from your gallery and optionally save captured photos to your device's photo library.

Network Usage

SiteSnap makes limited network requests for the following purposes only:

• Map tiles - When generating PDF reports that include location maps, the App downloads map tile images from OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org). Only tile coordinates are sent; no personal data is transmitted.
• Reverse geocoding - The App may use the device's built-in location services to convert GPS coordinates to street addresses. This uses the operating system's geocoding service.

Advertising (Free Version)

The free version of SiteSnap displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. The paid (Pro) version does not contain any advertising.

Third-Party Services

• OpenStreetMap - Map tiles used in PDF reports. Subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob (Free version only) - Ad serving. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Data Deletion

You can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage in your device's settings. All locally stored photos, projects, and preferences will be permanently removed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
