HomeUpkeep ("the App") is a home maintenance tracking app that helps you schedule and track household maintenance tasks. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App stores, what leaves your device, and who receives it. We do not operate any servers or cloud services for this app.
We do not collect your personal data. HomeUpkeep does not send your tasks, history or home details to us or to any other server.
The App stores the following data locally on your device, in the app's local storage:
The App does not use your camera, photos, contacts or location. This data leaves your device only when you export it (see below).
Settings can copy all of your data to your clipboard as text, and import it back from the clipboard. The App itself sends the text nowhere. If you paste it into another app, it goes there and that app's privacy policy applies. Other apps may be able to read the clipboard while it holds the copied data.
HomeUpkeep makes no network requests of its own. The only internet traffic is the Google AdMob SDK loading and reporting ads in the free version (see Third-Party Services) and, if you buy the upgrade, Google Play Billing on Android or the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad.
The App asks for one device permission:
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, the AdMob SDK collects information from your device — typically your advertising identifier, device and app information, coarse location inferred from your IP address, and interactions with the ads shown. That data is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. We do not send your tasks, history or home details to AdMob or to any advertiser. Once the Pro upgrade is active, the App does not request or show ads. Apart from Google AdMob and Google Play Billing (the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad), no other third-party service, SDK or API is integrated.
Ads on iPhone and iPad. On iOS the ads are also served by Google AdMob, under Google's privacy policy. iOS gives an app your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you have allowed tracking for it; you can review that choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
In-app purchases. Any purchase inside the app (such as the upgrade that removes ads) is handled by Google Play Billing on Android and by the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad. Google or Apple processes the payment and keeps the record (Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy); the app only learns whether the purchase is active. We never see your payment details. Restoring a purchase checks your Google Play or App Store account.
Your data is stored in your device's local storage, protected by your device's built-in security. On Android, if you have Android's device backup turned on, Android may include a copy of the App's data in your Google backup or in a device-to-device transfer; that copy is handled by Google and your device, not by us.
HomeUpkeep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The AdMob SDK in the free version collects device and advertising information from all users, as described under Third-Party Services.
All data is stored locally on your device. To delete it:
Text you copied to the clipboard or pasted elsewhere is outside the App; delete it where it ended up.
If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
