CoinCove is a privacy-first expense tracking app. All your financial data stays on your device. We do not operate any servers or cloud services for this app.
We do not collect any personal data. CoinCove does not transmit any data to external servers. There are no accounts and no cloud sync. The app is ad-supported and the AdMob SDK performs ad tracking (see Third-Party Services).
CoinCove stores the following data locally on your device using AsyncStorage:
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it using the Export feature.
CoinCove allows you to export your data as a JSON file and import data from a backup file. These operations use your device's native sharing and file picker functionality. The exported file is handled entirely by your device's operating system — Griswold Labs has no access to it.
The free version makes network requests to Google AdMob to serve ads. No other data leaves your device. The Pro version makes no network requests and functions entirely offline.
The free version may display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data per Google's Privacy Policy. The Pro version has no ads or third-party services.
Your expense data is stored in your device's local storage. It is protected by your device's built-in security (screen lock, encryption). Uninstalling the app will delete all stored data.
CoinCove is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
