AutoKeep ("the App") is a vehicle maintenance and mileage tracking application that helps you log services, track costs, set maintenance reminders, and stay on top of your vehicle upkeep. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App stores, what leaves your device, and who receives it. We do not operate any servers or cloud services for this app.
We do not collect your personal data. AutoKeep does not send your vehicle or service records to us or to any other server.
The App stores the following data locally on your device, in the app's local storage:
The App does not use your camera, photos, contacts or location, and it does not look up a VIN or anything else online. This data leaves your device only when you export it (see below).
Settings has an export that puts all of your vehicles, services, reminders and preferences into one block of text and opens your device's share sheet. The data goes only where you choose to send it (for example Notes, Messages, email or a cloud drive), and from then on that app's own privacy policy applies. Import reads a backup you have copied to your clipboard and replaces the data in the App.
AutoKeep makes no network requests of its own. The only internet traffic is the Google AdMob SDK loading and reporting ads in the free version (see Third-Party Services) and, if you buy the upgrade, Google Play Billing on Android or the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad. The "More Apps from GriswoldLabs" link in Settings opens Google Play in your browser, only when you tap it.
AutoKeep asks for one device permission:
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, the AdMob SDK collects information from your device — typically your advertising identifier, device and app information, coarse location inferred from your IP address, and interactions with the ads shown. That data is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. We do not send your vehicle or service records to AdMob or to any advertiser. Once the Pro upgrade is active, the App does not request or show ads. Apart from Google AdMob and Google Play Billing (the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad), no other third-party service, SDK or API is integrated.
Ads on iPhone and iPad. On iOS the ads are also served by Google AdMob, under Google's privacy policy. iOS gives an app your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you have allowed tracking for it; you can review that choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
In-app purchases. Any purchase inside the app (such as the upgrade that removes ads) is handled by Google Play Billing on Android and by the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad. Google or Apple processes the payment and keeps the record (Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy); the app only learns whether the purchase is active. We never see your payment details. Restoring a purchase checks your Google Play or App Store account.
Your data is stored in your device's local storage, protected by your device's built-in security. On Android, if you have Android's device backup turned on, Android may include a copy of the App's data in your Google backup or in a device-to-device transfer; that copy is handled by Google and your device, not by us.
AutoKeep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we collect nothing about you ourselves. The AdMob SDK in the free version does collect device and advertising information, as described under Third-Party Services.
All of your records are stored locally on your device. To delete them:
A copy you exported or shared is outside the App; delete it where you sent it.
If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
